Starving after you workout ?

Eating after you workout is actually the best time to eat because your body will immediately use the calories you just ate to repair & recovery, and will not be turned into fat.

After you workout the best thing to have is a liquid meal like a protein shake or gatorade.

Whatever you do, don’t starve yourself after your workout. Take advantage of the metabolic and hormonal changes that happen post workout to refuel and enjoy a good meal.

being obsessed with being healthy is not healthy

milkmadeicecream:

flavor of the day: Watermelon Snowsalted watermelon ice cream
Have you ever seen old snow? You know - it’s summer and you’re on a hike in high altitude and you come across lingering snow from the past winter. It has a pinkish/reddish tint to it. If you get a bit closer to it, you can smell a slight scent of watermelon. Well, wouldn’t you know, that’s called watermelon snow! Seriously, it’s a thing. And an awesome name for a watermelon ‘scream.
Ours, though, isn’t just a pint of old snow. It’s a salted watermelon ice cream, made with fresh local sugar baby watermelons and sea salt from Maine.
